I leave tomorrow for Las Vegas (Miss Exotic Word Pagaent) and Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend where I'll be co-hosting Dr. Sketchy's Las Vegas Launch and performing Poolside on the Sunday. I'll be staying at the Palms Casino Resort. I'll then be heading to New York City to check out the Burlesque there as well as do some performing of my own at the World famous Slipper Club amongst others.
I will be taking more photos than is healthy and keeping a diary. I may add post updates here too, so tune in if you're interested..!
I won't add too many spoilers about who I'll be hanging with there, but it'll be pretty damn cool. And that's just according to other people.

"Miss Exotic Word pageant"???

Would that be attended by only English exotic words like kumquat, fiesta and sarong? 'Cause foreign exotic words would appear boring to us, like turnip, duvet and knife-crime. Can't wait for that swimsuit round.

Hey y'all.
I write this extremely jet lagged from my room back in Edinburgh.
I will post info soon, suffice to say I had a blast and the performers I met were all lovely, warm and friendly. The shows were amazing and getting to meet the "Legends" bona fide vintage Burlesque performers from the 50's through to the 80's and beyond was a very special experience.
Tura Satana herself, one of the top tassel twirlers of her time (before Russ Meyers films fame..), taught me how to tassel twirl every which way the "proper" way in a workshop. So the UK better watch out, cause I'm a practising....!

Oh and thanks for the pointer Graeme, although I was aware of the Slipper Room, in NY, since I was performing there!

Aaah. Most beneficial for the unacquainted. I apologise for the confusion- I tend to write quickly when the subject matter is dear to my heart and a subject that I am excited and passionate about, causing my brain to overtake my fingers when typing and may come across as an erratic flow for the reader.
